YourCelf names the places in Story from a list of towns adapted from GeoNames, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License. We use its list of places with more than 1,000 people, trimmed to each place’s name, country and location. The list is kept on your phone.
Earlier test builds of YourCelf offered an optional on-device writing model, Google's Gemma. The current version of the app doesn't include it; this notice stays for those builds. It is provided under and subject to the Gemma Terms of Use, and your use of it is restricted by the Gemma Prohibited Use Policy. By downloading the model you agree to those terms. Please read them before downloading. A copy of the Terms of Use is available at the link above and accompanies the model download.
Modification notice: the model file we distribute
(gemma3-1b-it.litertlm) is google/gemma-3-1b-it
format-converted (including quantization) to the LiteRT .litertlm format
for on-device inference. The weights are not otherwise modified.

The model runs entirely on your device. Your content is never sent to Google, to us, or to anyone else by the model.
Those earlier builds ran the model with Google's LiteRT-LM runtime, used under the Apache License 2.0. The current version of the app doesn't include it.
