Our relay can't open your photos. Here's how.

This isn't a promise on a page. It's how the app is built. Every photo you share with a Circle is sealed on your phone before it goes anywhere, and only the people in that Circle can open it.

Sealed before it leaves

Every photo you share is encrypted to the people in your Circle, on your phone, before it's sent. The one exception is a post someone reports: the report sends it to us unsealed, so a person here can act on it.

A relay that can't look

To reach a phone that's offline, sealed photos pass through our relay. It can see which phone keys sent sealed blocks to which, how large they were and when, never what's inside. Neither can we.

No account, your keys

Nothing to sign up for and no password to forget. Your phone holds the keys. Delete everything from Settings and it's gone.

Your camera roll becomes the story of your life.

YourCelf reads your photo library right on your phone, finding the people, places and days that recur, and gathers them into Story. No photo is uploaded to do it.
